HEY HEY HEY!

SO, today was a quaint yoga day. We started the day off with crocheting, two group-gatherings/ice-breakers with some new girls and a great deal of sing-alongs (added with cute dancing). Before Karen, the yoga teacher, came over, we had chit-chats about being agreeable with your parents. We had some great comparisons about how being agreeable with our parents help us in the future and compared to the future if we were to not be agreeable. These girls have such great incite!

Fun-filled Friday, eh!

Woooo! Today was such a great day. I must say that every blog post, but seriously, today was extra special. We had a great number of girls today and of course, we did our pledge of allegiance and honoring of our country with the singing of a patriotic song. The word/lesson of the day was "pride in workmanship."

Special special special thanks to both Aunty Lynn and Aunty Kim for coming in and doing cookie workshops! We all had quite the sugar rush which we used as an advantage to do a MUVE and a very popular line dance called the "Electric Slide!" Thank you so much for all the girls who participated. Participating is such a great way to learn and expand your talents and abilities, especially ones you had no idea about!

These girls are so wonderful that they took the initiative to even clean the Zabuton Lounge with NO ONE ASKING THEM! What a joy! They brushed all the fuzzie-furs to be smooth as possible. Boy, it was a beautiful sight! Talk about pride in their workmanship! They worked with their whole hearts and focus in the project. Amazing!!!!!!!

I wish you all an amazing weekend!

Until next bloggin'...

Totally Thursdays!

So today was a very chillax day. It was filled with homework, crocheting, and hot chocolate :) I honestly do not remember having that difficult of assignments when I was these girls' age! There is such progression it is so amazing to see. We are blessed with such diligent girls who persevere. Such as Miss Ai, shown here crocheting!

We also prepped for a big day tomorrow. From shredding chicken to cleaning the vegetables and bringing up many bottled waters... It was all in all a productive day... As all days should be!

Until next bloggin' (betcha ten bucks it's tomorrow(:)...

MONDAY MONDAY

Hello Everyone

Its the beginning of the week! Today was a productive day. Sadly Auntie Vi stayed at home because she was sick. =[ Rebecca and I [Lora] took over the day.

We started the day with snack time and the usual how was school. Then the girls did their hw. While Rebecca helped Maria with her geometry, I curled Ai's hair.. she looked so adorable! [Ai's mom loved it! ^__^]

After hw, we did some MUVE and we then printed out Aunty's Vi chitchat notes. The chitchat topic of the day was THOUGHTFULNESS!

Aunty Lynn made COOKIES for everyone... YUM!!

The girls were sad that Aunty Vi wasn't there and that hula lessons were canceled.

Until Next time...
Lora

G'g'goood evening!

It sure was an amazingly BUSY and PRODUCTIVE day! We started the day off with breakfast: yogurt with granola (I believe), apples and Honey Nut Cheerios on top! It gave us our calcium, fiber, vitamins, and so much more. During the meal, etiquette was discussed along with relationships.

Then, homework was tackled and completed as crocheting, glazing the hardware and beginning oil-painting began.

After, CCI Tanya and I lead the girls to the pledge of allegiance, the song "God Bless The USA" and about patriotism, honoring your country, and pride was discussed.

As we finished, Violet came in to do our morning lesson as we discussed confidence and the difference between that and arrogance.

Then, Tanya and I began making the lunch, which of course was a balanced meal. Maria went crouton-crazy!!!

After lunch, the girls rested and digested in the Zabuton Lounge as a couple of girls drew replicas of the masterpieces that Aunty Vi has put around the facility.

When all the girls were rested up, we cleaned up after ourselves, then did MUVE! It was really awesome and we even recorded ourselves dancing. The video is here:

Then in the afternoon, we spent much of our time posing and following Catherine Steinmann who is from NYC and is an AMAZZZZZING photographer!!! The girls had so much with that!

The afternoon followed up with many fun times in the Zabuton, oil-painting like crazy, playing with the fuzzball, Aunty Vi having her own mini-hair-salon, picture taking, and laughter.

Overall -- just another amazing day at Club Charm!

Tuesdayyy

Hello all,

Well, our Tuesday was dealt with tackling a great amount of homework, dancing our tails off to Muve (which we did a great deal of three different dances and songs), and a mod. about compassion. Violet spearheaded a great mod. with real-life examples from past situations and for later/future experiences. As a reward for participating, Aunty Vi rewarded the girls with a quick drink and snack. Then, after the mod. chips and guacamole was the treat for the end of the day. It was actually my first time trying guacamole along with Sierra and Hunter. Great day, great experiences - as always.

Dec. 4 Furlough Friday!

Aloha CC Ohana!
Can it be that yet another week has flown by so quickly?!

Furlough Friday began early on a cool, crisp wintry Hawaiian morning @ 72 degrees. haha :0)
Christmas filled the air with our decorations up and the music of the season reminding us of the good tidings to come.

We began our circle time conversation with a discussion on the benefits of presentation and emphasized its importance.
Salutation, good eye contact, posture and grooming will make people wonder who these amazing little ‘charmlings’ are!
Brush & wash to minimize the distraction of p.u.! We don’t need anyone noticing us for that! haha :0}

While waiting for everyone to arrive, Radiant, Maria, Makeila, Hailey and AuntyVi revved up with the Electric Slide.
We again talked about the benefits of dancing and by golly, I think it’s sinking in! Radiant and I were no longer the only ones groovin’ to the beat! HO!
I wonder if this word still exists in the young’uns vocabulary.
Hailey agreed to lead us in the Macarena when she shared that she performed the Electric Slide, Cha Cha and Macarena at school. Very Impressive Hailey! It’s been awhile since AuntyVi has had the opportunity to be goofy with the Macarena so it was great fun!

Food Fun!
We worked up a sweat with all the dancing and decided on some refreshments to cool us off. We all had some POG Thanks to Joni Marcello of Meadow Gold. AuntyVi brought out something that looked like mini bales of hay! yup! shredded wheat! yuk? well maybe not. Everyone was a good sport and tried the rough and dry looking morsel. We used our favorite Meadow Gold vanilla yogurt (again, compliments of Joni) to ensure it was a hit.
We’re on a winning streak because everyone asked for seconds! While the ‘charmlings’ were munching, AuntyVi explained why we eat dry little things like this. FIBER! the little scrubbing brushes that clean our interior system helps big time with personal hygiene, and that’s all that will be mention about that! :0) A little taste of a delicious fiber drink by Melaleuca also went over very well. Nami’s mother Hidemi Yamaguchi is now our cc community sponsor and advocate of Melaleuca products. We at ClubCharm use Melaleuca cleaning products to keep our little ‘charmlings’ safe from the harmful effects of harsh chemicals.

Lunch Menu
Anchovy Garlic Pasta and Roasted Chicken Shreds Topped with Crispy Onion Rings
Organic Greens & Croutons Tossed w/AuntyVi’s Secret Dressing

After our food was nicely digested, AuntyVi met up with our little ‘charmlings’ in the Zabuton Lounge to have a CC ChitChat.
The word of the day was, “Character.” The qualities that define us. This little ChitChat led us down the road of being kind and considerate of others and how it impacts them. We talked about the good energy one creates when we share a kindly thought. We also talked about the bad energy hurtful words create. The ‘sticks & stones’ aphorism was contributed by a little ‘charmling,’ however, AuntyVi cautioned that mean words CAN hurt and be very destructive. Let’s be very careful with the words we use. Use kind and gentle words, however, if others are mean to you by using hurtful words, remember that it is not about you!...... it’s about them! (shhhhh...... easier said than done)
We concluded this ChitChat with each little ‘charmling’ contributing a special quality that defines their character.

On the artsy crafty front, Maria and Cierra are determined to learn how to crochet so they can create a scarf or CharMonkey. Together, they will chain stitch over a mile at the rate they’re going! You Go Girls!!!!

On a final note, please inform me of your interest in ClubCharm days during the holidays. We will extend our program to begin earlier at 9 or 10a.m. if there is a demand. We’re also doing birthday parties now so please let everyone know. Thank you!

Till next time!
‘charmingly’ yours!
AuntyVi :0)
